Notes from a 1st Century Pastor

Here are some of my thoughts from my devotional reading of John’s Gospel. A close disciple, John wrote of his firsthand experience with Jesus, as well as three letters and the Book of Revelation.

This will not be an in depth study, just some excerpts from my journal. I jot down some basic thoughts early in the morning then I return to them and see what I want to write about. I’ll post every week on Wednesdays.

Whether you follow along in the book of John or another part of Scripture, I encourage you to grab a notebook and make notes concerning what God’s Spirit might be sharing with you. Sometimes my notes are introspective or prayers or silly ideas. It’s you and God. Write what you want.
